New for 2019 is a refined “dugout” standing area. We’ve managed to gain 1.5” more width in the cockpit for a roomy stance. The side rails have gotten taller allowing for even deeper recess while keeping water at bay. The tail section fades to a flat standing platform above the fin giving a more stable feel for buoy turns. The “dugout” style gives stability to riders and allows you to ride a narrower board and gain speed.
The whiplash gained more volume where you need it and Dave Boehne has further refined his innovative/signature hybrid pin tail design bottom. This design has next level glide per stroke and the cleanest release for the slick feel while maintaining stability of a square tail. The refined bottom has gained a bit more stability and is the SpeedFreaks go to choice for flat-water to mild chop.
